BELGIAN NATIONAL BANK
As part of an internal internship at La Cambre’s Fashion Design Department, we were given 1957 bank staff uniforms from the National Bank of Belgium to completely transform.
Over six weeks, I deconstructed the men’s garments to create new forms, focusing on highlighting the female body, specifically the bust, back, and face.
By integrating openings and adornment details typically found in women's fashion, the project reinterprets masculinity to celebrate femininity.
Now part of the Belgian National Bank’s contemporary art heritage collection.
